NATO Operation - Steadfast Jaguar

ATCO Structures & Logistics provided Real Life Support Services to a major NATO training exercise in Africa where military personnel from 11 countries will exercise the strategic deployment of the NATO Response Force (NRF). The contract was awarded by the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency in May 2006.

Exercise Steadfast Jaguar was conducted in the Republic of Cape Verde off the west coast of Africa from June 15  to 30, 2006, and involved the arrival and departure of more than 5,500 military personnel and equipment. The purpose of the exercise was to confirm NATO’s ability to rapidly deploy its capabilities in reaction to a natural disaster (or other event), to provide a non-traditional operational theatre in which to exercise; and to confirm the concept of contractor support for such operations and/or exercises. The main troop location was on the island of Sao Vicente, with smaller activities on the islands of Fogo and Santa Antao, and the international point of entry on the island of Sal.

ATCO Structures & Logistics provided camp support services, transportation, daily fresh food supplements, potable water supply, laundry services, and waste treatment at several national and multi-national NATO camps established on three separate islands – Sal, Sao Vincente and San Antao. Our personnel also arranged and manage the port contract for loading and unloading all NATO ships.
