Tli Cho Logistics

Established in 1999, Tli Cho Logistics was jointly owned by ATCO Structures & Logistics and Behcho Ko Development Corporation, the development group of the Dogrib Rae Band located in the Northwest Territories. Tli Cho Logistics centered on a capacity-based business model. The model focused on the building of industrial and business capacity in Aboriginal communities.

Effective June 30, 2005, Behcho Ko Development Corporation and ATCO Structures & Logistics transitioned their joint ownership of Tli Cho Logistics to 100% Behcho Ko ownership. This transition companions the "spirit of direction" demonstrated in the Tli Cho Land Claim and Self Government Agreement between the Tli Cho Nation and the Government of Canada.

The corporation provided the following support services to the mining industry in Canada’s north:

  • Facilities management: encompassing camp construction and operations such as water treatment, sewage plant operation, road maintenance, drainage and surface water management, security services, and airstrip construction and operation.
  • Logistics: encompassing expediting and transportation, fuel hauling and storage.
  • Technical services: communication system installation, operation and maintenance, environmental remediation, engineering services, plant operation, project management (including winter road), power generation and site utilities.
